MiVirtual provides services to support you with the successful implementation of O365, specifically SharePoint. Through this website we provide information we have gathered from Microsoft and through our own offering.
The privacy and security of our clients and subscripbers are extremely important, so we’re committed to protecting the data you share with us.
This privacy notice explains how MiVirtual processes information that can be used to directly or indirectly identify an individual (“personal data”) collected through the use of our website and services.
*For the purposes of this notice, the term ‘visitor’ will be used to encompass all the types of people interacting with MiVirtual including site visitors, clients & customers.
Any information stored by MiVirtual is treated as confidential. All information is secured and accessed only by authorised personnel, with appropriate security measures in place to protect against breach or loss.
SECTION 1 – WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
When you engage our services from this website, and directly, as part of the process, we collect the personal information you give us. You will be offered to view services, download information and possibly linked to other providers.
Your data may be processed in one of the following ways:
1. Added to the MiVirtual email marketing list on Activecampaign, who themselves adhere to privacy laws with strong security. When you open or click links in our emails, your action will be automatically noted so that MiVirtual can give you the best services serve you better.
2. Payment securely processed by Stripe, who themselves adhere to privacy laws with strong security. Review their security here and here
At no time are credit card details processed by MiVirtual itself, nor are they stored with MiVirtual directly, at all.
SECTION 2 – CONSENT
How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to opt-in to receive information or purchase a service, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
How do I withdraw my consent?
At the bottom of every email sent by MiVirtual, you will see an ‘unsubscribe’ link. This instantly stops all automated communications to you from MiVirtual.
If you are a client of MiVirtual the automated unsubscribe won’t cease communications as this may result in issues to projects and services we’re providing to you. As such, these will cease at the completion of project, unless confirmed otherwise.
The ‘right to be forgotten’
You have the right to request all of your data to be stripped of personal identifiers. As a general subscriber, this means you will be completely removed from any marketing lists. If you have completed a project with MiVirtual, your information will be replaced with generic, non-identifying information (ie. Numbers or general naming convention)

SECTION 3 – DISCLOSURE
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
SECTION 4 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

When you click on links on our site, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.
SECTION 5 – SECURITY
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
SECTION 6 – COOKIES
What are Cookies? They are temporary, small pieces of information sent to a visitor’s hard disk. They can’t run programs or deliver viruses, nor can they track your behaviour in alarming ways.
The Facebook Pixel and Google Analytics are both cookies used by MiVirtual only for the purpose of tracking which pages on the website you’ve visited and for how long and so MiVirtual can better provide services to our clients.
If you are on Facebook or Instagram, they may result in you being shown our ads.
As a default, most browsers accept cookies, however, you may reset your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie or to reject cookies generally.
SECTION 7 – AGE OF CONSENT
By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
If our site is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
